Aragorn's conversations

Aragorn’s Conversation with Fellow Legends Aragorn    Frodo: Who is she? This woman you sing of? Aragorn: 'Tis the Lay of Lúthien. The Elf-maiden who gave her love to Beren, a mortal. Frodo: What happened to her? Aragorn: She died. [He sighs.] Aragorn: Get some sleep, Frodo . Legolas: There is a fell voice on the air.  Gandalf: It's Saruman! [avalanches start]  Aragorn: He's trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf, we must turn back! Elrond: You're outnumbered, Aragorn. You need more men. Aragorn: There are none. Elrond: There are those who dwell in the mountain. Aragorn: Murderers. Traitors. You would call upon them to fight? They believe in nothing. They answer to no one . Sayings by Arwen

Sayings by Arwen Arwen Arwen's  mortality  (from   The Lord of the Rings ) "And Arwen became as a mortal woman, and yet it was not her lot to die until all that she had gained was lost...As Queen of Elves and Men she dwelt with Aragorn for six-score years in great glory and bliss; yet at last he felt the approach of old age and knew that the span of his life-days was drawing to an end... Arwen knew well what he intended, and long had foreseen it; nonetheless she was overborne by her grief. 'Would you then, lord, before your time leave your people that live by your word?' she said." Arwen, “The Lord of the Rings” "Then going to the House of the Kings in the Silent Street, Aragorn laid him down on the long bed that had been prepared for him ... and then all left him save Arwen, and she stood alone by his bed. And for all her wisdom and lineage she could not forbear to plead with him to stay yet for a while. She was not yet weary of her

Finord                                                                                                       Finrod was an Elven king of the Noldor, eldest son of Finarfin, brother to Angrod, Aegnor and Galadriel. Finrod was like his father in his fair face and golden hair, and also in his noble and generous heart. In Beleriand Finrod became the ruler of Nargothrond. He was a wise, just and powerful Elf, and a great traveller He is a brilliant, beautiful, golden icon, bigger-than-life, and shaped from the same heroic mold as all of his flame-eyed compatriots, those notorious and charismatic Noldorin Lords of the West. If that were not enough, Finrod is also a great wizard, a friend to Men and Dwarves, and loyal to his allies and closest kinsmen, even when faced with safeguarding their dirtiest secrets. While his virtues are extolled well beyond those of any of his cousins or brothers, Finrod remains just flawed enough to be sexy.

The hair of Olwë was long and white, and his eyes were blue; but the hair of Elwë was grey as silver, and his eyes were as stars; he was the tallest of all the Elven-folk." ― "Of the Coming of the Elves and the Captivity of Melkor" However,

You and I, Sam, are still stuck in the worst places of the story, and it is all too likely that some will say at this point: ‘Shut the book now, dad; we don’t want to read any more.’”       Frodo Baggins, The Two Towers, The Stairs of Cirith Ungol   “No taste of food, no feel of water, no sound of wind, no memory of tree or grass or flower, no image of moon or star are left to me. I am naked in the dark. Sam, and there is no veil between me and the wheel of fire. I begin to see it even with my waking eyes, and all else fades.” Frodo Baggins, The Return of the King, Mount Doom   “I have come,” he said. “But I do not choose now to do what I came to do.
